Reinvesting in America:
The RIA Network is a collection of grassroots organizations working on a local, regional and national scope to tackle the vast array of needs linked to hunger and poverty. The RIA program works to provide information, referrals and capacity building services to grassroots direct service providers. Members of the RIA network receive additional visibility in addition to access to practical and technical assistance in building and maintaining their valuable programs.
The National Hunger Clearinghouse:
The National Hunger Clearinghouse is administered by WHY under contract from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service. The purpose is to foster connections and information sharing among thousands of groups working on hunger, food, nutrition and other agricultural issues by compiling information in one central location. To accomplish this, the Clearinghouse is asking organizations and businesses to fill out a database form. Information from this form will be entered into the Clearinghouse's national database and will be available free of charge by phone, fax, or the Internet.
Artists Against Hunger & Poverty: Artists Against Hunger & Poverty is WHY's program that enlists performing artists to help raise funds and awareness for the most innovative and effective community-based organizations working to combat hunger and poverty. WHY offers artists, record labels, managers, agents and fan clubs an opportunity to take a stand by using their voices and resources effectively - while doing what they already do so well.
