Reinvesting in America (RIA) Network Membership

The RIA Network is a collection of grassroots organizations working on a local, regional and national scope to tackle the vast array of needs linked to hunger and poverty. The RIA program works to provide information, referrals and capacity building services to grassroots direct service providers. Members of the RIA network receive additional visibility in addition to access to practical and technical assistance in building and maintaining their valuable programs.

Membership in the RIA Network is free.

Upon receipt of your completed questionnaire, RIA members receive a Welcome Kit including

• WHY’s Media Guide for Grassroots Group;
• A Replication Manual of your choice;
• Program profiles of model programs working on the issues that you focus on;
• Five references to organizations working to fight hunger and poverty in your community.
• An application for our Harry Chapin Self-Reliance Awards .

The RIA Network provides referrals for media contacts, foundations, national organizations, international organizations, individuals wishing to donate or volunteer, and touring musical artists who contact us through WHY's Artists Against Hunger and Poverty Program .

In addition, many funders view information about RIA network organizations on WHY’s website. RIA network organizations also may participate in the network’s email discussion group, Growing Justice, to share information about grassroots anti-poverty efforts.
