The WHY Get Active Center provides guidance and resources to people who want to become partners in the fight against hunger and poverty. We hope you'll use this section to make your voice heard on the crucial social issues facing our society and world. What is food security? What are the benefits of joining a community garden? You can learn about these and other topics through WHY’s Food Security Learning Center.
Take a stand
Read our responses to topical issues and events. Then, write to your elected officials or newspapers and make your voice heard and opinion count on these serious social issues.

Help middle school and high school students understand the root causes of hunger and poverty, and how they can take action.
Look for programs that promote self-reliance

Plan a concert
