MORE WAYS TO HELP WHY

Corporate sponsors are crucial supporters of WHY's work. There are many opportunities for corporations to partner with WHY. Please contact WHY's development director at development@worldhungeryear.org or 212-629-8850 x127 to discuss these and other options.

• Promote WHY in internal newsletters and documents.
• Set up WHY as a charity for automatic deduction from paychecks.
• Encourage donations and matching gifts to WHY.
• Become a Hungerthon sponsor.
• Celebrate at our June Awards Ceremony by sponsoring a table, a few seats, or a journal ad.
• Nominate WHY for funding from your corporate contributions office.
• Introduce WHY to your corporate foundation.
• Sponsor a specific project at WHY - our development director would be happy to plan this with you.
• If you work in financial advisement add WHY to the list of charities you promote to your investors for donations, trusts, and bequests.
• If your company trades through CIBC you can sponsor WHY for CIBC's Miracle Day, held in December (no cost to you).
• In lieu of gifts to clients or others, make a charitable contribution to WHY, we'll send the honoree a special note.
• Endow or contribute to a Harry Chapin Media or Self-Reliance Award.
• Volunteer your professional skills and those of your colleagues any time of the year.
• Have a WHY representative come to your next meeting to discuss change over charity and what individuals can do to help.
• Donate office furniture, office supplies, or other products and services to WHY.
• Introduce WHY to possible funders.
• If you are having an event, invite WHY to set up a table.
• Include the WHY brochure as part of a materials pak at your next event or party.
